Habitveen — Privacy Policy

Habitveen ("the app", "we") is a personal expense tracker with a nutrition/health layer. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Phone number — to sign you in (one-time SMS code) and identify your account.
Profile — your name, and optionally age, gender, locality, lifestyle and preferred currency.
Household members — if you create a household, the names/phone numbers/roles you add for members (so they can share the ledger).
Your records — expenses (amount, category, note, date) and food items (name, quantity, price) you log.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising. The app contains no ads and we do not sell your data.

How we use it

To provide the core features: tracking spending, food/nutrition insights and personalised diet tips.
To share a household ledger among the members you add.
To keep your data in sync across your devices.

Where it is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication). It is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by access rules so only you and your household members can read your household's data.

Sharing

Your data is shared only with the members of a household you join or create, within the app. We use Google Firebase as our infrastructure provider. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual entries in the app. To delete your entire account and associated data, email us at the address below and we will remove it within 30 days.

Children

Habitveen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
